The Cultural Ensemble “George Pop de Basesti”, Băseşti

The “George Pop de Băsești” Memorial Museum is arranged in an emblematic building, which belonged to the Pop de Băsești family. Inside the museum, visitors can discover the documentary-historical exhibition “George Pop de Băsești and the Great Union of Romanians”, as well as pieces of furniture, paintings, and decorative art objects. On the Vineyard Hill there is the “Assumption of the Virgin Mary” Monastery. In its garden there is “Teiul Unirii”, a centuries-old linden tree, witness to the preparation of the Union in 1918.
