The museum was opened in October 2022 thanks to the efforts of Ihor Havryliuk – an enthusiast, researcher of medieval history, and reconstruction master. Ihor not only collected rare exhibits but also created a complete historical environment, where every element – from costumes to lighting – contributes to full immersion in the atmosphere of the past.
In two spacious halls stylized as a medieval castle, there are 19 mannequins of historical characters wearing authentic armor from different eras – from Varangians to Cossacks, from crusaders to 20th-century warriors. The walls display examples of weapons, shields, helmets, as well as models of castles and siege engines. Some of the exhibits were made by the founder himself, while others were brought from different parts of Ukraine.
The museum operates on the principle of interactivity and multisensory experience. The Interactive Museum of Knighthood in Nadvirna is a place where history comes to life, where education and emotion combine into a single cultural experience. It is a journey that both children and adults will remember, as here everyone can become the hero of their own medieval saga.
