The opening of the Hutsul Horse Centre “Hutsulyk” took place on 24 June 2025, with the support of a number of international and Ukrainian partners, and was dedicated to an anniversary: the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Hutsul horse breeders’ society in the city of Kosiv.

The centre was conceived as a place for the protection of this unique native breed, as a platform for environmental education, scientific research, and equestrian tourism, as well as an inclusive space – in particular for hippotherapy, which is already demonstrating benefits for children with disabilities and veterans. This multidimensional mission makes “Hutsulyk” both a valuable cultural site and a practical resource for the community.

An excellent addition for leisure activities is the Scientific and Educational Center of the Hutsulshchyna National Nature Park, located nearby. Here, nature-loving tourists can explore rich exhibitions in zoology, entomology, ornithology, dendrology, mycology, and geology; visit the museum and creative space “Hutsul Room”; and discover a modern interactive environmental education space.
